So, Obama accused the po-po of acting "stupidly". However, if po-po receives a call from someone about a break-in in progress, they SHOULD try to find out what's going on and not just believe it when someone says they live there. For this ignorant, likely affirmative-action professor, to pipe off with his "Why, because I'm a black man in America" statement (read the article for context), and then tell the media that he'll forgive the cop who showed up if he tells the truth about "lies" in the police report, this guy belongs in the same hell as Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton. I am sick to death of blacks and guilt-ridden white folks trying to shame people into giving blacks special, elevated status, such that we should feel wrong about any time we offend them, and watch what we say lest we come off as racist. Most of the racists I've known have been black people.

I was talking to a buddy at work about this and he related to me a little story about a friend of his. Seems this guy was thinking about being a cop, and took a qualifier test of some sort. Aced it. When he got his score the guy told him he should find another job, because he would probability be bored to tears being a cop.

That said, I'm thinking there's plenty of fault to go around on this one. Yeah, I would think the racial bias was mostly on the part of the professor, but that doesn't mean the cop didn't act "stupidly". But instead of racial bias motivating his actions, it was more likely ignorance and a power trip.
