I'll probably be around 80-90, which is when I'll die. When I die, the world will slowly start dying too, because my finger nail will be decomposing, and my finger nail is what holds the world together.

psh thats over a hundred years from now. by then we will have come up with some super advanced peice of technology that'll turn it into dust or something before it reaches us. besides, who knows for sure that it will hit us?

I've been working on a superlaser to destroy it. The problem is, just turning the power from phase 1 to phase 2 takes more power then what the States and Canada produces put together. Though when I tried it, it was in summer, I'll have to try it in winter with less A/Cs turned on, so more free power. There's 5 phases until it hits it's critical power status though. I want to use it while minimizing country wide blackouts unlike that test I did a few years ago.
I estimate it's power to be a little over 43.6 Tera watts which should hopefully be enough to destroy the asteroid. -------------------- |

Well I do not think I will die in my 80s as we grow in technology we will increase our life span a little longer.
Lets see if the world is going to end on 2019 and I was born on 1990 then I would be 29! Ha by then I would have already took en over the world! That is just a mith, the real end date will be on Jan 1, 2009 when all TVs in America have to be converted into HD, and we will now use HD signals! That is the real Dooms Day --------------------   |

I still think the end of the world will be January 19, 2038.

Actually, Y2K was a joke, all this problem will cause is certain programs that depend on date to screw up, but it won't do stuff that Y2K people stated. Just because some computers are down, does not mean the waterfalls producing electricity will randomly vanish, or the pumps to stop pumping gas.  Hopefully by then we'll all be using 64-bit everything, so we wont have the limitations of 32 bit numbers (which is the cause of this issue) -------------------- |

I had an elementary-school teacher who actually stocked up on supplies for Y2K and warned us about the impending disaster. I remember computer guys (never gals) coming by and fixing the school’s computers, complete with a little “Y2K Compliant” sticker.
